| Havarti with Whiskey Praline Sauce |

Havarti with Whiskey Praline Sauce
- 3-4 lb block of Havarti Cheese (room temperature)
- (Cut cheese on an angle and place on platter)
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 2 tbsp white corn syrup
- ¾ - 1 cup half and half
- 2 cups walnut pieces
- 3 tsp whiskey
- Water Crackers
- Ginger Snaps

| Preparation:
Put sugar, corn syrup, cream and nuts into a heavy saucepan and cook over low heat. Stir occasionally. Cook to soft boil stage. Remove from heat and add whiskey. Stir to cool down to touch. Pour over block of havarti. Occasionally the sauce will puddle around the base of the cheese - spoon sauce on top of cheese. Serve with Water Crackers or Ginger Snaps. |
