How do you come to a good number of guests to plan on for your food and beverage for your reception?
- Number of invitations – not guests (300)
- Number of invitations sent to out of town guests – subtract this number from #1 (50)
- Number of invitations sent to family – subtract this number from #1 (20)
- Number of invitations sent to wedding party – subtract this number from #1 (40)
Sub Total=190
Add the following:
- Number of Actual Guests RSVP from Out of Town – add to sub total (76)
- Number of Actual RSVP from Family – add to sub total (50)
- Number of Actual RSVP from Wedding Party – add to sub total (22)
- Minister + 1? – add to sub total (2)
- Musicians + Guests? – add to sub total (3)
TOTAL Number of Guests to plan for. (341)
Numbers in (_) is your example.
I find that this formula works 99% of the time.
